GoochlandCares has been a safety net for our community since 1952. Our mission is to provide basic human services and health care to our Goochland neighbors in need. GoochlandCares envisions an equitable community in which all persons have their basic needs met, empowering them to lead lives of self-dignity and well-being.

I shop at the Food Pantry every week and I use my credits at the Clothes Closet to get household items and clothes. For the first time in my life, I get regular dental care. Last year, Financial Assistance paid a utility bill. I would not have been able to keep the electricity on that month. Coming here is like coming to see friends.

On Wednesdays, we wear pink! At least, this Wednesday, the team is wearing pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Meanwhile, the clinic is hard at work connecting patient with mammograms and other critical cancer screenings or treatments!
Welcome to the Leadership Quest Class of 2027, Andrea Ahonen of GoochlandCares!
Andrea joins a cohort of 70 leaders from across the greater Richmond region, representing a wide range of sectors and backgrounds. Over the next nine months, the class will explore some of our region’s most pressing challenges, meet the people and organizations working to address them, and work in teams to design ways community leaders can help move that work forward.
