Am I eligible to receive services?
To be eligible for services you must live in Goochland County*, be 18 years or older, AND meet the following income requirements:

-If your annual household income is at or below 200% (or 2x) of the Federal Poverty Level, (for 2020, $25,520 annual income for an individual), AND you do NOT have health insurance, you may qualify for our GREEN LEVEL of service which includes the Free Clinic and all other services.

-If your annual household income is at or below 200% (or 2x) of the Federal Poverty Level, (for 2020, $25,520 annual income for an individual), AND you HAVE health insurance, you may qualify for our BLUE LEVEL of service which includes ONLY non-Clinic services such as the Food Pantry and the Clothes Closet.

-*If your annual household income is between 200% and 300% of the Federal Poverty Level (for 2020, $25,520 – 38,280 annual income for an individual), AND you do NOT have health insurance, AND you live in Goochland, Louisa, Fluvanna or Cumberland, you may qualify for our ORANGE LEVEL of service which includes only health care at the Free Clinic and excludes Dental Care and Mental Health Care.

*Domestic violence and sexual assault services are available to ALL victims or survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence, regardless of income, gender, or sexual orientation. Services are available to victims, survivors, and their families. There is NO residency or income requirement. 24-Hour Hotline 804-980-6267.

*GED/ESL classes are free and available to the public. There is no residency or income requirement. Call Miss Toni Burruss, GED Teacher, 804-780-6039 or 804-412-5664.

What types of items can I donate to the Food Pantry?
Non-perishable items: canned meats, vegetables, fruits and soups, rice, pasta, hot and cold cereal, crackers, etc. Fresh items: garden produce, backyard eggs, fruits, breads, etc. Household and personal items: soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dish detergent, all purpose cleanser, sponges, toilet paper, paper towels. laundry detergent, etc. For a complete list CLICK HERE or visit our FOOD PANTRY page. What types of items can I donate to the Clothes Closet?
The Clothes Closet accepts donations of new and gently used clothing, shoes, jewelry, fashion accessories and small household items including sheets, towels, home décor and small kitchen appliances in working order. Our greatest needs are always kids’ clothing and shoes, men’s clothing, and larger adult sizes. Furniture items are accepted by prior approval ONLY. What types of items can I donate to the Clinic?
The Clinic accepts unopened, non-expired, over-the-counter and prescription medications; unopened nebulizer masks; handheld nebulizers and tubing; nebulizer machines (new or used); unopened nebulizer filters; unopened packages of insulin needles/syringes all varieties; new or washed hand/wrist splints; finger splints; wheelchairs; walkers; canes; diabetic socks and shoes; unopened wound care supplies such as band-aids, gauze pads, and specialty dressings; toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, and anti-cavity rinse. (We are UNABLE to accept: open medications, narcotic medications, expired medications, hearing aids, tube feeding supplies, IV poles or tube feeding poles, oxygen tubing, syringes, shower seats or toilet chairs, motorized wheelchairs or scooters, ortho leg splints, or glucometers.) Donations may be made through your workplace giving program, or United Way, CFC, LGS or CVC campaign. Consult your supervisor or Human Resources Department.
